Students and Listeners
Attendance is free for students and listeners. However, please note that registration is required for those who wish to participate in the social events (welcoming reception, 21 September, 7-9pm), lunches, and conference dinner. Upon registration, it is necessary to communicate any dietary needs before 8 September to the organising committee via firstname.lastname@example.org.
The conference is taking place at Campus Boekentoren (Rooms 2.1, 2.2, 2.4) and the Faculty Library of Arts and Philosophy, both located at Rozier 44, 9000 Ghent. The venue is located in the center of Ghent, within walking distance of most accommodations and the train station.
By public transport
From Brussels Airport to Gent Sint-Pieters station
In the airport building, go to level –1 and take the train with direction Gent Sint-Pieters station (we advise you not to take the train which passes through Aalst, because this will take longer!). There is a direct train every hour, but you can also take the train to Brussel Noord station at the airport, where about three trains an hour leave for Ghent.
From the Brussels stations to Gent Sint-Pieters station
Arriving by train in Brussels : Switch to one of the many intercity trains (IC) to or via “Gent-Sint-Pieters”, Ghent’s main railway station (directions “Brugge”, “Knokke/Blankenberge”, “Oostende” all stop in Ghent ). Ghent is on the crossroads of the international lines “London-Brussel-Köln” and “Antwerpen-Lille-Paris”.
From station Gent St-Pieters to Campus Boekentoren
Take tram 1 (every 6 minutes, exit at Verlorenkost) or go by foot (Campus Boekentoren is a 20 minute walk from the station).
Follow the P signs to parking garage P10 Sint-Pietersplein. The parking site is located at a distance of 300 meter from Campus Boekentoren. Attention: Parking Sint-Pietersplein is located in a low emission zone. Check whether your car is allowed to enter the low emission zone.
